Stanford hires Vikrant Vig from Northwestern University
Stanford Graduate School of Business has appointed Vikrant Vig as William R. Timken Professor and Professor of Finance.
He started work at the university on July 1, and joined from Northwestern University, where he was a professor of finance at the Kellogg School of Management. Previously, Vig was Term Chair Professor of Finance at the London Business School.
Vig’s research focuses on the intersection of law, politics and organizations. His recent work has examined how contracts and institutions can be used to improve the efficiency of credit markets.
Vig’s papers have been published in journals including: American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics and Review of Financial Studies.
A Stanford spokesperson confirmed his appointment.
