Yale awards financial economics professorship to Bryan Kelly

Yale University has named Bryan Kelly as Frederick Frank and Mary C. Tanner Professor of Finance at the institution.

He is a financial economist at the Yale School of Management, and his primary research fields include asset pricing and financial econometrics.

Kelly is a research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and an associate director of the management school’s International Center for Finance. He is also head of machine learning at AQR Capital Management.

Before joining Yale in 2017, he was a tenured professor of finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Kelly obtained his Ph.D. in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and prior to pursuing this worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
