Northwestern hires economic theorist Marios Angeletos from MIT
Economic theorist Marios Angeletos is set to join Northwestern University as a professor of economics.
He will join the institution on Jan. 1 next year from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he currently holds a professorship.
Angeletos’ recent research has examined economic environments in which agents have limited and dispersed information about aggregate economic conditions.
Between 2013 and 2014, he was chair of microeconomics and finance at the University of Zurich, and he has also held visiting professorships and Yale and Harvard.
In Spring this year, Angeletos was a visiting professor at Northwestern University.
He obtained his Ph.D. from Harvard, and earlier in his career was a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
