The environmental economist took up the appointment on May 9.
Jane Kim is currently dean for academic affairs, and the K.T. Li Professor of Health Economics at the institution.
The economist will leave her current appointment at Stanford later this year after four years at the institution.
She receives the award for her research on economic policy across an array of different areas.
He will join the institution on Jan. 1 next year.
Among the economists being considered are the deputy director of Mexico’s central bank, an IMF executive and a former finance minister of Chile.
The Nobel Prize winner will give the presentation on Nov. 30.
The representatives will serve for at least a one-year term.
