MIT Sloan appoints 6 assistant professors
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has hired six new assistant professors at the university’s Sloan School of Management.
Ali Aouad and Chelsea Lide join from the London Business School and Stanford University, respectively, where their research has focused on algorithm design and leadership communications.
Haihao Lu and Ellen Muir also take up roles as assistant professors. Lu’s work has previously centered on solving large-scale optimization problems, while one of Muir’s recent working papers include an optimal lockdown management plan for an epidemic.
MIT has also appointed Austin van Loon, whose research has focused on political polarization, and Felix Vetter, whose research has focused on audit and financial gatekeeper labor markets and on regulation.
