Northeastern names Michael Stone as interim department chair
Northeastern University has appointed Michael Stone as interim chair of the university’s department of economics.
He is a teaching professor of economics at the institution, where he as taught courses including law and economics, and principles of microeconomics.
Stone’s areas of specialization include law and economics, public economics and applied microeconomics. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut, and joined Northeastern in 2014.
He takes over the role from economics professor Robert Triest, who has led the department during the last six years, and will continue to work as a senior faculty member.
