Ponomarev and Richert to join Chicago economics faculty
The University of Chicago has appointed Kirill Ponomarev and Eric Richert as junior faculty members at the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics.
Ponomarev is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Economics at UCLA, and will join Chicago on July 1 as an assistant professor. His research interests focus broadly on econometrics, and his current work focuses partial identification and efficient estimation.
Richert is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at Queen’s University at Kingston. His primary area of research interest lies at the intersection of empirical industrial organization and finance.
He will join the faculty in July 2023, following a one year postdoctoral position at Princeton University.
