UCL promotes Wyness to professor of economics

University College London has promoted applied economist Gill Wyness to a full professorship.

She was previously an associate professor of economics at the UCL Institute of Education, and was also deputy director of the university’s Centre for Education Policy and Equalising Opportunities.

Wyness specializes in quantitative methods, and her main research area is the economics of higher education, with a particular focus on inequalities in university participation.

She is also a research associate at the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics, and she has been published in the Economics of Education Review, the Oxford Review of Economic Policy and the Journal of Human Capital.
