Virginia Tech names Wooten as economics undergrad director
Virginia Tech has appointed Jadrian Wooten as director of the university’s undergraduate economics program.
He takes up the academic post of associate collegiate professor for economics at the institution.
As director of undergraduate economics at Virginia Tech, Wooten’s remit will include working with undergraduate clubs, improving the advising of undergraduates, developing new courses and growing the major.
He moves to Virginia from Pennsylvania State University, where he is currently an associate teaching professor. He obtained his PhD from Washington State University, and his research focuses on teaching pedagogy as well as sports and other labor-related issues.
Prior to working at Penn State, Wooten was an adjunct instructor at Washington State University.
Wooten will join Virginia Tech in the fall.
